THE PRAXIS OF GENERATION
The Benefactors present…
With first steps taken, it was time to make proper introductions. With Mire activity spiking in the area, Prime Praxis Purveyor Dr. Barnabus Argyle joined forces with Connor and Spencer to formulate an exciting, new, and innovate technology known as Praxis Generation Method Butterfly-Zygote-3. First step; making contact with the travelers.
A collection of impossible, intriguing, and esoteric advertisements were formulated and posted on the TTS elevator billboards. The intriguable “special ones” who retrieved tabs from the notices were provided a website, which told them they had discovered something notable, and more would be unveiled in a week’s time.
The week passed quietly, and the fateful Wednesday arrived; the webpage updated, with instructions to seek out a copy of Codax Alpha by locating a hidden one on the fifth floor of TTS. When completed, this form led to a URL containing an auditory welcome from Dr. Argyle, who promised more still to come the following morning.
The next morning, travelers awoke to a new audio recording, labeled The Synchronization. Dr. Argyle prompted travelers on a 15-minute solo expedition into the esoteric, involving exchanging of trinkets, systematically repeated greetings, and crowdsourced woodchip art. At the journey’s end, travelers signed a communal guestbook.
The next day brought frightening news; the cassette tape containing PGM-BZ3 had been stolen by an agent of The Mire! The travelers, alongside the partners they had been assigned the night before, were tasked with locating and retrieving it. The tape was swiftly located under the large pine tree in the St. Vinny’s Square.
With the tape secured and the stages set, the hour was finally at hand; participants gathered the next day in the DePaul Quad with copies of PGM-BZ3 downloaded to their cellular devices. The 25-minute tape guided travelers through several praxis-potent tasks, including a game of hide-and-seek, a surprise birthday party, and a silent dance break.
Then, the deployment was complete. After a few more praxis-heavy tasks, Dr. Argyle revealed the role that Connor and Spencer had played in the formulation of the previous week’s events. The newly appointed Head Praxis Purveyors took their bow to a modest round of applause, before Dr. Argyle bid the travelers farewell. He closed out the tape with an appropriately magnanimous nugget of wisdom…
“Always remember… special things happen when special people find one another.”
